There are some scripts that poll a server and when they detect that the map has changed, they issue an rcon command to set gravity. I use BigBrotherBot and its configmanager plugin to set gravity after a map change and it works perfectly everytime. With configmanager, you can specify configs for each map, gametype, or overall.

Since I posted this originally, I've decided to test something out. I now have UrT running on a VPS from linode.com. I've only had 6 ppl on at one time so far, but I've been watching the cpu/disk/network graphs to get an idea if it'll work OK.

So far, it looks like my CPU utilization peaks at 9%, network is next to nothing and HD access is non-existent. None of the players have reported issues w/ the netgraph. I'm getting b3 running on it now, and as soon as I do, I'll let it run for several days and get my clan mates to hammer it.

If this works, I can probably get their smallest package at @$20/month for each server I want to run. I don't think I'll run over the bandwidth allotted if I have map downloads come from another location.
