Is there any chance the dev team could add a new entry to g_gear so smoke can be switched off but normal grenades can be left on. Ideally could you add every weapon in the game as a seperate entry, so it can be totally customised.

It would be real useful to those of us who dislike smoke. It has its uses but tends to get thrown in and around spawn a whole lot, most of the time by people on your own team.

I use smoke when I'm sniping and the enemy already knows roughly where I am (and I have goggles).

I also use it in ambushes frequently and to make a sort of path way to a location that is somewhat safe from snipers.

Its also good if the enemy thinks he'll be ambushed and is cautious of a smoked out area even though no one is there. also is useful in collaboration with the grenade launcher when fighting campers. (smoke prevents them from seeing the grenade fired from the grenade launcher)

Well who ever kicked you from the eVo server is a complete idiot.

Reason: All the people who posted, how they misuse a smoke nade or spam the hell out of it, ITS NOT THEIR FAULT. It is a game technique(which I don't use).

Smoke spamming is like camping, its annoying BUT its how the game is.

So nobody should tell you how to throw a nade or how to not use it too much. Its your game play not there's.

This is the truth.

I don't hate the smoke naders, its just what i got to deal with

I started my thread because I was wondering if smoke nades were considered a bad thing by a majority of the community. This question was spawn because I was kicked for smoke nading.

I thought this is an interesting topic.

Let's face it, many people vote kick smokers even if they were used wisely. Many people get pissed when they get killed because they were distracted by the smoke, which I find it funny.

Some people hate smokers because of the fps drop, I used to be one of them because with my old setup, my fps dropped from 25 to 6 lol.

The add a nice tactical option to the game.
But in Pubs , a decent percentage of players who use them screw it up,
or the grens get picked up from the ground get mistaken for HE-Grens and then screw up for the own team.
