personally, i see a lot of misusers but i wouldn't mind if they were used a lot.
but e.g. the last experience of them was a ts players smoking our spawn (in our time he was) to pick up people passing by. that's just lame.

I was using them in Kingdom, to smoke bombsite for a rush. If I didn't have bomb, I went to bar, smoked bombside entrance, and pushed out.

However, spawn smoking from your own team is some straight up unnecessary BS in most scenarios.
I personally don't have a problem with people using smoke grenades, I try to take advantage of my allies or enemies using them.

Its just so frustrating to see so much useless smoke when you're trying to kill people and get the objective.

I can see how that would work, though I doubt it would be used too much. The only major thing I can see is people HE nading commonly smoked passes BEFORE the smokes are laid, just to prevent it.

Strange contraptions are not required if the smoke wasn't thrown in the first place. Sounds like _nss wasn't listening to his mates.

Let's not forget it also causes FPS drops, and if you die while priming, the smoke drops on your body.

If when in the middle of the smoke you could still see a short distance, enough to navigate out of a room or passage this would be much better. It would still hide most enemies except when they are in your face and so would still give the tactical advantages but without causing rage.

I'd ask about your opinion of it in bomb mode, but I'm scared O.o
