Hey all
I`m thinking of getting a mic to play UT using the IRC/teamspeak, and i`m just wondering how many people actually use IRC/teamspeak.Is it popular?

Cheers

GT

IRC...not as many as 5 years ago, but there are still several hundred people EDIT: Urban Terror players on both Gamesurge and Quakenet. I think a few people are still on Enterthegame, too. It's mostly clans that use IRC. There are pug (pick up game) channels on Gamesurge (for NA) and Quakenet (for Europe), so that's maybe another reason to use IRC. IRC is probably the best asynchronous multi-user chat environment around...which doesn't say much since I think it's the only one haha. Xfire has superseeded IRC as the general chat program for gaming, but IRC still is used a bit. There's no reason at all not to have both.

Vent/TS...clans mostly. A few servers have a TS or Vent server, mostly/all CTF. Of course if you're a regular on a server, you might just start hanging out on that clan's Ventrilo when pubbing, even if they don't have a public Vent/TS for pubbers. If you want a proper gaming experience, join an established clan and play matches with them. It's far better than random players on a pub.
