Hey all UrT fans!

New Project called: UrT-Xtend

I would like to announce my plans for moving UrT to other gaming platforms. I currently have a working Wii version, with a demo video coming soon. Before I get to into programming/modding I would like to get a "head count" for who's interested in what platforms. Just reply with what platform you want it on and I'll start on the most wanted.

More To Come...

Queen,

First, for Wii... it works. And not the smashbro type control, actual point 'n shoot type control. I will get a demo video up asap. I really need developers for the Xbox as it needs to be recoded (UrT that is) into Python and or another base language. I want to not make players have to mod there system.

One problem, bots... I am working on making the ported version of UrT work with normal servers... Problems are GUID and protocol... More updates @ http://teamwolf.co.cc/

Does this count as one of those mods that the dev team doesn't approve of?

FYI I am a Wii user.

Are you using XNA to port UrT to the xbox360 or do you use the baremetail method?

There is already an official quake3 port in the works, maybe they kept the MOD Interface.

ive been spamming this forum for ages about a xboxlive port....

I  think  urban terror  could  easily be  ported  to playstation 3. Because u can  install  Yellowdog  Linux  in  it  . Problem  is  Sony restricts access to the RSX and opengl in linux. PC games up to Quake II will run.  Source ->http://www.youtube.c...h?v=XeFSTv_y7LE

AFAIK, you only need to port ioquake3 engine code to work on the other platforms and it will be capable to run any Q3 and Q3-mods, such as UrT (given the hardware has enough memory to hold all the game data -> com_hunkmeg 256).

I wonder what the dev team thinks of this.

sounds amazing, looking forward to see the wii version in action (and I'm wondering how you got all the functions on the keys; sprint, jump, crouch, walk, shoot ...)
PS3 is interesting for me as well, but XBox ... dun like it :P

Definitely free...

You will get to choose all the functions. Currently I only have a Wii version...

I wonder what the dev team thinks of this.

Hopefully they support the idea, as we will NOT be modding urt, just creating a platform in which it can run on. Kinda like Live Linux...

The idea is to make it run linux of a disk, then to have the disk include UrT. That way we will not have to mod UrT, and players won't have to mod there console.
USB support to come...
Thanks for the correction, my spelling sux (xD)

AFAIK, you only need to port ioquake3 engine code to work on the other platforms and it will be capable to run any Q3 and Q3-mods, such as UrT (given the hardware has enough memory to hold all the game data -> com_hunkmeg 256).

Good point. Problem with that is that the ioquake3 code is extremly hard to port onto a live cd. the io of UrT however can run of a disk, which makes it much easier for me!

I  think  urban terror  could  easily be  ported  to playstation 3. Because u can  install  Yellowdog  Linux  in  it  . Problem  is  Sony restricts access to the RSX and opengl in linux. PC games up to Quake II will run.  Source ->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeFSTv_y7LE

The whole idea is so that you do not have to install extra things on your console. I have already looked into opengl, and there is a way to run it (hopefully) of a disk

No...

Well its here

More to come hopefully

Okay,

Because of the large amount of replies, I've started working on putting together a team to help me work on this. If you know C, C++, Python, Perl, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Linux, Ubuntu or other distros, email me at azbikow2@gmail.com or goto teamwolf.co.cc...

Thanks
KP
