The SPAS isn't restricted to pump action, and the Benelli M4 is certainly not automatic.

I think it was just a wording issue. Also, I'm wondering if they will be restricting the SPAS to pump for this release...? Or maybe even doing something else to it. Only time will tell.

For those of you who want to see a legit, fully automatic shotgun, youtube the AA-12.

I would asume that this new shotty would be slower to fire but more accurate. I could be very wrong here. But the spas has a much shorter barrel and is more a blunt instrument of close range killing. Maybe a MP5k v UMP kinda difference ?

Anyways i have no idea at all, not my department :P but im assuming that the plan is in motion :D

if I had to venture a guess, the Dev Team might restrict the SPAS to pump and allow the M4 to fulfill its role as a semi-auto shotgun to further differentiate the roles to the two will have - making the SPAS a pump action 1-to-2 hit kill wonder while leaving the M4 as a mid range  shot-spraying nightmare.

Here is another video that shows how fast it can be fired. Benelli says it's an automatic on their site. Not sure what is meant by this since others here say it isn't an automatic. It doesn't need to be pumped (at least you don't see anyone pumping it) and it seems that you can load several shells at a time.  http://www.youtube.c...?v=X2zk-4tKBXs  I guess strictly speaking you do have to pull the trigger each time so that would make it a semi-automatic.

Exactly.  It's a marketing gimmick.
