Since Deneb hasn't been released yet, there is no point in adding it. I imagine very soon, as I have heard rumors of AMD trying to match the release of i7. I've also heard, however, that Q1 2009 is when we will see it.
add it anyway, senseless guide to some people who wish to see budgets on AMD make a $1500 one

Sweet stuff; I'm checking out to build my new puter in Janruary/February and this is a great resource.
Little question though, I hope it wasn't asked/answered in previous posts:how do you recommend this or that CPU with this or that motherboard for example?
For the MB I usually only checks the features and if it's CrossFire or SLI, but besides that how do you make one card being better than the other?
This is pure curiosity as I want to setup a new case soon; thanks.

Checking on what components used on the MB, the cooling solutions, form factor for practicality, and pay attention to benchmark posted on the internet and/or conduct your own benchmarks.

For me, overclocking potential is the main determining factor when choosing a motherboard. When gathering benchmark results however, you want to make sure you are reading reviews from trusted sites that aren't biased towards the manufacturers. It is also good to get onto a hardware forum such as overclockersclub.com, cluboc.net, just to name a few, and ask around. See what others are using, and get their real world take on a particular component. To what you asked: "how do you make one card being better than the other?" - it's the numbers. I don't determine what cards are better, the manufacturers (ATI and Nvidia) do. I have just ranked them in order of performance at 1920x1200.

well the resolution depends on your monitor >_> idk, doesn't like big monitors *talking like 32"*

Phenom 2 and Opterons to come once some concrete benchmarks are out. I can say, from first hand experience, the new Opterons are the tits. At work, we are running 3 hosts, clustered, 42 Virtual Servers on them (about another 20 or so to come), and 2 are terminal server supporting 107 users... they don't even break a sweat.
